Listing methodology

How HVAC provider listings and sponsorship are handled.

This page explains what the public directory is, how entries are reviewed, and what payment or referral participation does and does not mean. Georgia Local HVAC is not an HVAC contractor and does not independently guarantee a provider.

1

Public-source listings

Entries are built from publicly available provider websites and public business information. The provider's official website is shown when stored in the listing record.

2

Review notes

Each entry includes a review date and notes about the source, service-area fit, and what still needs to be confirmed directly. A review date is not a current license, insurance, or availability guarantee.

3

Homeowner choice

Use listings to make a shortlist, then confirm service area, licensing, insurance, pricing, fees, warranties, and availability with the provider before hiring.

Labels and payment

What the directory labels mean.

Public listing means the entry is presented as public convenience information, not as an endorsement or paid ranking. Some providers may compensate this site for eligible referrals. Any such compensation does not improve organic search ranking, change the public-source review date, or guarantee placement in a homeowner's search.

Requests submitted through the intake form may be shared with a local provider serving the request area. A participating lead recipient may receive a request, but response, appointment, pricing, licensing, and workmanship are not guaranteed.

Not represented by a listing

  • “Best,” “top,” or recommended provider status
  • Current license or insurance verification
  • Guaranteed service area or callback
  • Guaranteed price, workmanship, or appointment
  • Paid placement disguised as an editorial ranking
Ordering and corrections

How listings appear and how to report a problem.

Directory ordering

The directory begins with the order of the underlying public listing data. Search results are filtered by the words and service type a homeowner enters. Payment is not used as a hidden relevance or ranking signal.

Review status

Listing cards show “Public listing” and a last-reviewed date. Confirm any detail that matters because businesses, phones, service areas, and operating hours can change.

Corrections

If a listing is outdated or inaccurate, use the request form to describe the issue, or contact the site owner through the disclosure page. Do not include passwords, financial account information, or unrelated sensitive details.

Before you hire

Check the provider directly.

A directory entry is a starting point, not a decision. Ask who will perform the work, confirm the address and exact HVAC need, request written pricing and scope, and verify licensing and insurance where applicable.
